Digital expertise, a key asset
The new Digital Services Department enhances our support for event organisers
Vincent Montury has headed the new Digital Services Department at Congrès et Expositions de Bordeaux since September 2017. The team boasts 8 experienced staff and its goal is to handle the internal and external digital transformation of the company.
From now on, the Department will be collaborating closely with our Bordeaux Events team to optimise support for our client organisers in selecting and implementing the necessary digital solutions for their events.
The Digital Services Department experts support our sales team during the client consultation stage and carry out a risk analysis for each event. They are also present at the start of each event to ensure the smooth functioning of any digital or audio-visual services.
In addition, the team equip our clients with the latest mobile and computer technology (including Microsoft Surface Pros) in order to improve client communication and enhance the interactivity of presentations during the design phase.
The Digital Services Department is primarily working on the technology on our four sites in order to improve the welcome experience for our organisers and their visitors. The first stage consisted in harmonising and optimising the Wifi networks, particularly in the last remaining areas with poor reception.
The team have also started to improve signage in the welcome areas
Electronic signs have been installed at the entrance to the Bordeaux Exhibition Centre as well as a digital sign at the Bordeaux Congress Centre. This sign benefits from simplified back office management, allowing organisers to manage it independently if they wish to do so.
The Digital Services Department team is currently working on the technology which will be offered to organisers and participants in the New Exhibitions and Congress Hall under construction. This new hall will be unmistakably high tech.
The Digital Services Department team manage the CEB Lab, the exchange and experimentation platform dedicated to event management and business tourism. This initiative has been put in place by Congrès et Expositions de Bordeaux to encourage innovative services and practices in event management.
The CEB Lab allows us to find innovative creators and to discover solutions that can then be offered to our conference and trade show clients, like the Linguali interpreting software.
