3 new business hotels
Bordeaux’s hospitality market is expanding to include some of the biggest names in the international hospitality industry.
The City of Bordeaux offers almost 8,000 rooms, 1,300 of which are close to the city’s main business travel destinations. The diverse and expanding hotel network lives up to all expectations.
Given how attractive a destination Bordeaux is, large-scale projects and new concepts are being implemented to ensure that the new establishments cater to the needs and desires of business travellers.
In 2018, 3 major global hospitality players will open new establishments in strategic locations in Bordeaux.
The Hilton group chose Bordeaux to open its first Hilton Garden Inn in France. The building, inaugurated in July, is situated in the fast-developing Paludate neighbourhood, very close to Saint-Jean Train Station and many of the city’s main sights. This 4-star hotel offers 166 bedrooms, a restaurant, a bar and a fitness centre: all services expected by business customers.
A 4-star Radisson Blu establishment was inaugurated in the beginning of September in Bassins à flot, near La Cité du Vin. This huge metal building, designed by the Bordeaux architecture firm King Kong, offers excellent services. The hotel has 125 bedrooms and will attract business travellers with its many contemporary facilities, including a golf putting green with a panoramic view of Bordeaux and a rooftop facility.
In November, Louvre Hotels Group will be inaugurating their high-end Golden Tulip hotel in the Bordeaux-Euratlantique district. This 4-star hotel offers 111 bedrooms, a bar and a restaurant inspired by regional trends.
Other hotel projects have been announced, notably in the 3-star category, and should come into being in two years’ time.
