Specialised trade shows support the growth of industries of the future in the Region

Trade shows are a valuable asset for the economy of the Nouvelle Aquitaine region, its 11 competitiveness clusters and 70 other clusters. As such, trade show hosting activity is dynamic for Bordeaux Events, with a growing number of specialized events dedicated to industrial, technical and even service sectors. These events aim to support and drive growth in the sectors in question.

In addition to the events organised by national or international operators, such as SAE AEROTECH, which was held in September at Palais 2 l'Atlantique, our team now hosts an increasing number of regional shows. These shows are set up by public and private stakeholders, often through collaboration with the local ecosystem (institutions, research organisations, competitiveness centres, start-ups etc). They are valuable showcases for regional businesses and organisations, providing them with an opportunity to form new partnerships and develop business and industrial collaborations.

In  2019, regional trade show hosting has increased, in particular with:

-        the [Achats] show held on 21 May at Hangar 14, which brought together purchasers and suppliers from the Nouvelle Aquitaine region

-        the CYCL'EAU show held at Hangar 14. Dedicated to regional water management, the event brought together policymakers and industry stakeholders

-        the 1st edition of ALINA, the agri-food industry trade show for the Nouvelle Aquitaine region, held at the Bordeaux Exhibition Centre. With 220 exhibitors and over 2,000 visitors, 80% of whom were from the region, the show was a genuine success, and demonstrated the value of the regional format for an industry that represents €6.4 billion in the region.

In the final quarter, we will be hosting two new events created by and for innovative industrial sectors in the region. The support of institutional partners is a sign of their desire to create major events that can help drive economic growth.

MEDIPOLIS Nouvelle-Aquitaine on 5 and 6 November at the Bordeaux Congress Centre.

This new event devoted to the health industry offers a programme of conferences, workshops and business events, as well as a space with 100 exhibitors.

VIV INDUSTRY on 26 and 27 November, also at the Bordeaux Congress Centre.

The BtoB event devoted to the Factory of the Future and Industrial Performance in Nouvelle Aquitaine will also offer a space with 300 stands and meeting areas to discover the latest innovations. The event aims to connect industry players and experts in the design, advanced manufacturing and sales growth for industrial products.
