The 42nd National Midwives’ Conference took place at the Bordeaux Congress Centre in Bordeaux from May 14th to 16th 2014.
Bringing together 1,000 participants, 90 exhibitors and 40 speakers, the event consisted of an opening session, round tables and workshops.
Round-table subjects included intrauterine growth restriction, inter-culturalism around birth and palliative care in the delivery room.
Workshops aimed to be practical, dealing with questions such as obstetric gestures, contraception, new born clinical examinations, perineal stitching…
These study days contributed to the midwives’ ongoing medical training, bringing adapted post-university teaching to them in line with their constantly evolving profession.
